Crane Truck 8258 - Modification Pack
With the release of the Crane Truck, the LEGO® Company launched - in 2009 - one of the most appealing Technic LEGO® sets. Especially the exterior of the truck and the very realistic operating crane arm.
However, to my opinion the set needs some small and easy to apply improvements I like to share. Applying these changes will definitely increase the playability of this fantastic model.
The modification Pack is categorized into 3 area's:
1) CRITICAL: many customers noticed the 12th tooth bevel gear nearby the XL motor drive-shaft 'crunches' sometimes;
this can be solved by applying ALL these critical modifications.
2) IMPROVED PLAYABILITY: modifications contributing to a more effective usage of the technic functions.
3) APPEARANCE: only 'cosmetic' modifications.
