Remote Controlled - BuWizz 3.0 / 2.0 or LEGO® Powered Up or LEGO® Power Functions

For tough off-road hauling conditions, Volvo (or Caterpillar, Terex) developed articulated haulers, dealing with these circumstances.
This 'Release 2' model is a redesign of the 2011 version. Since then, the LEGO® Company launched a variety of new parts to justify an upgrade, justifying an impressive upgrade. This 'R2' model drives much faster and smoother due to the planetary hubs.
The model is powered by a BuWizz 3.0 unit, controlling a mix of LEGO® powered-up and power functions. Remote functions are driving, High or Low gear selection, steering, tipping and turning on/off the head and rear LED lights.
Functions still remaining are a pneumatic system for tipping the dump bed, including a pneumatic switch to guide the pump's air flow to raise or lower the dump bed. Using pneumatics provided additional space within the rear chassis, needed to apply the suspension. This rear suspension is based on a 3-point suspension for both rear bogies, interconnected with a 3-point bogie beam pivoting on the trailer chassis. Suspension of the tractor is based on a rotating hitch.
Alternate versions - designed in 2026 - can be build to support BuWizz 2.0 or the LEGO® Control+ Hub (Powered Up);
even a 100% power functions ONLY version is applicable as well, based on the LEGO® PF IR-receivers.
